Long An fresh lap cheong is entirely handmade by households following traditional recipes - fresh pork of the day is coarsely ground, mixed with pork fat in a standard lean-to-fat ratio, and marinated with a characteristic rose wine (mai quế lộ) before being stuffed into natural casings. No colorants or preservatives are used; the natural reddish-pink color comes from fresh meat and spices.

Each product has a QR code for traceability. Customers can scan the code to watch a video of the lap cheong making process at the very household that produced it in Long An, showcasing real people and real work.

Best way to prepare: Place the Chinese sausage in a pan, pour in fresh coconut water or regular water until it just covers the sausage. Cook over medium heat until all the liquid evaporates. Continue rolling the sausages in the pan until they render fat and are evenly golden brown on both sides. You can also grill them over charcoal or steam them, as preferred. Serve hot with white rice or sticky rice.

This is fresh Chinese sausage, not dried, so customers need to refrigerate it immediately upon receipt. If using within 1-2 days: keep in the refrigerator compartment. If you want to store it longer: keep it in the freezer compartment, it can be used for 3 months. Thaw naturally in the refrigerator before cooking; do not thaw with hot water. The packaging is vacuum-sealed; only open it when preparing to cook.
