Long Khanh Tố Nữ jackfruit is a special variety – its fruit is smaller than regular jackfruit, with deep yellow, thick, and dry flesh, and less fiber. The name "Tố Nữ" itself evokes a sense of delicacy: the jackfruit arils are not as large as those of "mít nghệ" (turmeric jackfruit), but upon tasting, one immediately experiences its rich sweetness and intense, characteristic aroma that no other jackfruit can match.

Long Khanh has long been the "fruit capital" of Dong Nai, where red basalt soil mixed with alluvium creates ideal conditions for Tố Nữ jackfruit to thrive. Many local farmers have been cultivating this jackfruit variety for 2-3 generations. Each harvest season, the whole family gathers to select the fruit and separate the arils, a manual task that cannot be replaced by machines.

Tố Nữ jackfruit arils, once separated, are firm and do not ooze liquid. They are even more delicious when chilled, which is why this type of jackfruit is favored as a gift and is the most frequently purchased online among Vietnamese jackfruit varieties.

Serve immediately or chill for 30 minutes before eating. Tố Nữ jackfruit tastes best when chilled, as the arils are crunchier and sweeter. It can also be used in smoothies, jackfruit sweet soup (chè mít), or dried as a snack. For pre-separated jackfruit arils: open the bag and consume immediately. Store any remaining arils in the refrigerator and consume within 2-3 days.

Store in the refrigerator for 2-3 days, or in the freezer for 1 month. Do not leave detached jackfruit pods at room temperature for more than 4 hours.
