PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Weaver ant salt is a condiment with no direct competitors, no factory can produce it, no recipe can replicate it, because the main ingredients, weaver ants and ant eggs, are only found in the Central Highlands forests during their season. The J'rai people harvest weaver ants in the dry season, pound them with salt and forest chili according to a traditional family recipe, with all steps being entirely manual from start to finish.

Upon opening the jar, you'll immediately notice a very unique aroma - slightly sour, subtly pungent, delicately salty, with three layers of fragrance blending together in a way no other salt can achieve. Dipping grilled meat, fruit, marinating seafood, or anything else with weaver ant salt makes it significantly richer and more exciting.

This is a specialty that locals introduce to anyone visiting Gia Lai for the first time, and almost everyone who tries it seeks to buy some to take home.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Use directly as a dipping salt for grilled meat, seafood, unripe fruits, or boiled vegetables. It can be used to marinate beef, pork, or fish before grilling - marinating for 30 minutes is enough for the flavor to penetrate. Use sparingly as weaver ant salt has a strong salty taste and a quite potent aroma; when seasoning, use a small amount at a time and add more to taste.

STORAGE

Store in a dry, cool place, tightly close the lid after each use. Avoid getting water into the jar as moisture will cause the salt to clump and reduce its quality. Use a dry spoon to take out the salt; do not use your hands directly. Storing it in the refrigerator will preserve its aroma for longer, lasting for 6 months.

Ant salt is a seasoning with no direct competitors; no factory can produce it, and no recipe can replicate it, because its main ingredients—weaver ants and their eggs—are only found in the Central Highlands forests during the right season. The J'rai people harvest weaver ants during the dry season, pounding them with salt and forest chilies according to a traditional, secret ratio, with all steps performed entirely by hand from start to finish.

Upon opening the jar, you're met with a truly unique aroma—subtly sour, mildly pungent, and delicately salty, with three layers of fragrance blending together in a way no other salt can achieve. Dipping grilled meat, fruit, or marinating seafood—anything that touches this ant salt becomes significantly richer and more exciting.

This is a specialty that locals introduce to anyone visiting Gia Lai for the first time, and almost everyone who tries it seeks to buy some to take home.

Use directly as a dipping salt for grilled meats, seafood, green fruits, or boiled vegetables. Can be used to marinate beef, pork, or fish before grilling - 30 minutes is enough for the flavor to soak in. Use sparingly as yellow ant salt has a strong salty taste and a rather strong aroma; add a little at a time and then adjust to taste.

Store in a cool, dry place. Close the lid tightly after each use. Avoid getting water into the jar, as moisture will cause the salt to clump and reduce its quality. Use a dry spoon to take out the salt; do not use your hands directly. Storing it in the refrigerator will help preserve its aroma longer, for up to 6 months.
